Are you wanting to join a group of other women who meet every 6 months for quality time to stop, review life, connect to yourself and be enriched by sharing life’s ups and downs?

Weekend Roo

Sometimes, in life, we get caught in our busy schedules or ‘safe routines’ and lose sight of stopping to think what we might actually want or need.  There are also times when we face particular challenges or life events (divorce, children leaving home, work life, pending retirement) …. creating uncertainty, leaving us unclear how to move forward.

These weekends are tailored to create a safe space to explore these issues that we all face at different times in our lives. They are suitable for all women, in a variety of different life situations who would like to stop for a while and reconnect to self and others.

The venue has been chosen for those that live locally and also those who live further afield and need access to accommodation. If you live locally, it is important to pencil the whole weekend out, as the ethos is to create space for yourself and to be with the others members of the group during some of the free time e.g. eating together Saturday evening.

Some of the authors that get quoted during group discussions.

Working in a small group of women can be a supportive place to reflect, hear different perspectives and support each other.

I will facilitate structured exercises, guide personal visualisations and be part of the group discussions that evolve as we share our thoughts and stories. You will hopefully return home feeling more focused, relaxed and enriched as you move forward.

The weekend is not a psychotherapy process group (looking at group dynamics and actively exploring how this connects to past experiences) but the focus will be on personal confidence and the development of internal resources.

Postcard images for use during reflective exercises.

Please contact me if you need any further clarification about the difference.

Following the workshop

  • A certificate of attendance/continual professional development (C.P.D. hours) can be issued on request after the weekend
  • This weekends happen every 6 months, so it is a regular place to come to for support and personal growth.
  • 3 months after each weekend there is a facilitated 2 hour follow up zoom session with each other to consolidate things explored on the weekends.
  • The ethos of the group is to attend each weekend and zoom support session wherever possible.

Bridport and West Bay We will meet in the delightful market town of Bridport, which sits just over a mile away from the stunning landscape of the southwest coastal path and the peaceful sea of West bay. If you can, why not treat yourself to an extended stay for a night or 2 after the workshop as there is much to explore in the town or coastal path.

Bridport is a lovely town with many cafés and restaurants. It holds its historic market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. On Saturday lunchtime you will be able to explore its riches and buy lunch from one of the many café’s or take away outlets during your lunch break!

For those who don’t live locally, Bridport is about an hour drive from Exeter for those wishing to travel daily
