Are you needing some quality time away to stop, review life, connect to yourself and be enriched by sharing with other women?

Sometimes, in life, we get caught in our busy schedules or ‘safe routines’ and lose sight of stopping to think what we might want or need. Life events (divorce, children leaving home, pending retirement) can also be a time of great uncertainty, leaving us unclear how to move forward. This workshop is purposefully small in number and will be suitable for women in a variety of different life situations who would like to stop for a while and reconnect to self and others.

Workshop Room

The venue has been chosen to suit women who live locally and also those who live further afield and need access to accommodation. For those not needing accomodation, it is important to pencil the whole weekend into your diary, as the ethos is to create space for yourself and to be with the other members of the group during some of the free time eg eating together Saturday evening. .

Working in a small group of women can be a supportive place to reflect and hear different perspectives. During the weekend, I will facilitate structured exercises, guide personal visualisations and be part of the group discussions that evolve as we share our thoughts and stories. You will hopefully return home feeling more focused, relaxed and enriched as you move forward.

The weekend is not a psychotherapy process group (looking at group dynamics and seeing how this connects to past experiences) but the focus is on personal development and the development of internal resources.  Please contact me if you need any further clarification about the difference.

Following the workshop

  • A certificate of attendance/continual professional development (C.P.D. hours) can be issued on request after the weekend
  • This workshop will run every 6 months (as long as there is a need), so it can be a place to use as a regular place to be or as a stand alone experience. Once you have attended a weekend you can be given the option of attending the next weekend if you so wish, although this is not obligatory.

Bridport and West Bay We will meet in the delightful market town of Bridport, which sits just over a mile away from the stunning landscape of the southwest coastal path and the peaceful sea of West bay. If you can, why not treat yourself to an extended stay for a night or 2 after the workshop as there is much to explore in the town or coastal path.

Bridport is a lovely town with many cafés and restaurants. It holds its historic market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. On Saturday lunchtime you will be able to explore its riches and buy lunch from one of the many café’s or take away outlets during your lunch break!

Travel and Parking the venue offers parking for day attendees or those who staying at the hotel but not for women staying in another venue unfortunately.

For those who don’t live locally, Bridport is about an hour drive from Exeter for those wishing to travel daily

Meal and refreshments included: Refreshments will be included during the weekend, as will Sunday buffet lunch.                                                                                                                                                            Saturday lunch can be bought by individuals in Bridport at one of the local cafes or takeaway outlets.                Saturday evening we will all eat together in one of the restaurants in Bridport. Each individual will pay for their meal depending on choice. The October weekend we will be visiting the local Mexican restaurant. £10 deposit will secure your place (can be paid via the booking form)
